Responsibility in university’s Grade of Migration in Peru

by Ricardo Jiménez

On October 19 was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru in downtown Lima, the closing ceremony of the university’s grade: Migration, Human Rights and Public Policy. Organized by the Perú Migrant Project (PMP), with support from the European Union, and the University Antonio Ruiz de Montoya, with the support of the Andean Parliament and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Grade design and academic coordination was led by Chilean sociologist, based in Peru, Ricardo Jimenez, who is also coordinator for the latinoamerican Southern Cone (except Brazil) and for the network socio-professional of migrations, of the Program of Ethics and Responsability.

The Charter of Human Responsibilities was part of the materials used in the Grade, as the World Charter of Migrants, allowing them to be known by the 62 people who finally got their degree, including government officials, civil society practitioners and leaders of organizations of migrants and their families.

At the same time, the degree has generated positive synergies between different public and civil institutions, plural and comprehensive approach that is based on the principles of the Charter of Responsibilities and activity of the Program of Ethics and Responsability.
